Mr. Barrett has over 20 years of leadership experience in multiple areas within IT software and services organizations. As a founder of Softential Inc., Mr. Barrett built an extremely successful systems integration organization with a network of more than 12,500 associates across 38 global locations which was eventually acquired by Cyient Limited in 2014. While at Eltrax Systems Inc., Mr. Barrett grew sales from $0 to $40M and was a key member of the management team that orchestrated and negotiated acquisition by Verso Technologies Inc.. Mr. Barrett earned his BS in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University.
Mr. James has over 20 years of senior leadership experience in finance, accounting, business development and strategic planning. Mr. James has held CEO, CFO and Director roles (Audit Committee Chair) with a variety of TSX-V listed companies and private companies over 15 years. Additionally, Mr. James held various senior finance roles with ConocoPhillips Canada, Agrium Inc. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. James is a Certified Public Accountant (Chartered Accountant) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting Major) from the University of Saskatchewan.
Mr. Owings, has over 35 years’ experience in the technology industry. Mr. Owings has supervised multiple mergers, acquisitions, and public offerings. Mr. Owings became CEO of Gates/FA Distributing and subsequently co-founded ScanSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCSC) as a joint venture with Gates/FA Distributing. Mr. Owings currently uses his new venture, Lanett Group, LLC to participate in various real estate investments and private equity opportunities. He has served on the Board of Directors of multiple private and public companies including ScanSource, Inc., FalconStor Software (FALC), and Globelle Corporation. Mr. Owings holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Clemson University.
Mr. Mede has over 10 years of investment and advisory experience in private equity markets. With more than 20 years’ experience in Healthcare holding a variety of leadership positions within Abbott Laboratories, ranging from Engineering, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Country Management. Mr. Mede is also the founder, and owner,of several businesses across the globe specializing in residential and commercial Real Estate development and management. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin -Madison and a Master’s in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Mr. Kay has over 12 years of advisory experience in capital markets. Mr. Kay is the co-founder of Aphelion Capital Corp., the capital pool company whose qualifying transaction was the RTO merger with EdgeTI Inc. Mr. Kay is a self-employed market consultant with a wide breadth of experience in Canadian capital markets. Throughout his career, Mr. Kay has served as a director and/or officer of numerous public companies in Canada and is currently a director of EdgeTI Inc. (TSX.v: CTRL), a director of Cruz Battery Metals Corp. (CSE: CRUZ), and the Chief Operating Officer of Spearmint Resources Inc. (CSE: SPMT). Mr. Kay holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
Mr. Mack is a Managing Partner of Lotus Innovations Fund II and brings over 20 years of enterprise software experience and over 6 years of Private Equity experience covering North America, Europe and Asia. After successfully founding Resolve Systems, LLC in 2005 and selling it in 2012, Mr. Mack founded a Family Office in 2012 and started Lotus Innovations Fund II in 2014. Mr. Mack graduated from University of Chicago, with a B.S. in Mathematics.
Mr. Roman is a Managing Partner for Lotus Innovations Fund II. Mr. Roman has over 20 years of enterprise software business development and sales experience covering North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to founding Lotus Innovations Fund II, Mr. Roman was a member of the leadership team responsible for the transformation of Resolve Systems, LLC from a services company into an enterprise software company, which included working with many strategic customers and partners like JP Morgan Chase, T-Mobile, Intelsat, and many others. Mr. Roman also founded a strategic business development firm called Ex Novo, which worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Expedia, Zappos, AT&T, T-Mobile, and JP Morgan. Mr. Roman holds a B.A. in Clinical Sciences and M.S. in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College.
Mr. Armstrong is an attorney licensed to practice law in the United States. Mr. Armstrong has over twenty years’ experience advising, performing, and supervising corporate secretary functions of public and private corporations. Mr. Armstrong holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.
